AGREEMENT TO POLICIES
By signing this Student Registration Agreement, you are indicating that you have read and agree to the terms and policies below.
TUITION & PAYMENT POLICY
Tuition is billed by the semester and is due in full before the first meeting of their enrollment(s). Students on a payment plan must remit the first payment before the first meeting. RSC reserves the right to stop all enrollments if payment is not received before the enrollment’s first scheduled meeting.
For students enrolling in ensembles/classes, tuition deposits must be paid in full at the time of registration to hold a place in the class, unless enrolled in a payment plan.
Credit cards may be used online, by phone (339) 686-2336, or in person with the registrar.
Checks, made payable to Rivers School Conservatory, may be given to a RSC admin in the office or mailed to: 333 Winter St, Weston, MA 02493
New Student Enrollment(s) Policies:
- New RSC students must fill out the online application.
- All students must create an ASAP account before attending any enrollments.
- If enrollments start and an ASAP account has not been created, all enrollments will be paused immediately. Paused enrollments will resume after an ASAP account is created and payment is remitted.
Returning Student Enrollment(s) Policies:
- Students re-enrolling in the upcoming fall semester must confirm their plans with their teacher in writing by June 1st.
- Invoices will be sent out to families by August 1st.
- Balances are due on September 1st.
- Students may be eligible for a refund if the office receives a written withdrawal notice no later than August 30th.
Trial Lesson Policies:
- All trial lessons are charged like normal lessons. See RSC Tuition Rates.
- Trial lessons are scheduled by a department head or directly by the teacher.
- The office must be notified in writing when a trial lesson has been scheduled to ensure room availability and proper billing/registration.
Fall & Spring Policies:
- The fall and spring semesters are 16 weeks each, or 32 total weeks. Please see the school calendar for the specific dates and times.
- There are built-in make-up week(s) each semester to accommodate private lessons that are eligible for make-ups.
- RSC enrolls students by the semester, meaning if a student starts at the beginning of a semester, they are enrolled for every eligible week of that semester.
- Students who start mid-semester, are enrolled from their first enrollment date through the remaining weeks of that semester.
- Mid-semester students will have their tuition prorated from the start date of their first class.
Summer Policies:
- Before summer private lessons begin, a written notice from the faculty, or the parent copying the faculty, must be given to the office outlining the number and length of lessons.
- Summer private lessons must be fully paid before lessons begin.
- Summer program deposits must be received for placement in the program to be reserved.
- To attend RSC Summer Programs, all tuition must be fully paid before the start of the program.
Financial Policies:
- RSC accepts the following payment methods: Check, Cash, Bank ACH/Echeck, and Credit Cards (Visa/MasterCard/Discover).
- Checks should be made payable to Rivers School Conservatory.
- RSC charges a $35.00 registration fee per student each school year.
- The registration fee covers any student’s enrollment during the summer, fall, or spring semester within that school year.
- Payment plans are accepted and to be paid on the first of every month.
- There are four monthly payments in a payment plan; fall semester (September – December) and spring semester (January – April).
- All enrollments must be fully paid or started on a payment plan before the first scheduled enrollment.
- All balances must be paid in full before the start of the next semester to continue enrollments.
- A late fee of $50.00 will be applied to any balance that is not fully paid by its deadline.
- RSC will charge a $25.00 returned check fee for any check that does not cash.
Financial Aid Policies:
- Please fill out the financial aid form and send the completed form to Lindsey Robb at l.robb@rivers.org.
Make-Up Policies:
- Faculty are required to make up all missed private lessons that are due to their absence.
- Faculty are asked to make up one unexcused student absence per semester if at least 24-hour notice was given.
- If a student misses an arranged make-up lesson, it will not be rescheduled and no refund will be given.
- Make-ups will not be given to any student who misses a scheduled class or ensemble rehearsal.
- Any private lesson that is cancelled due to weather-related school closure is guaranteed to have one scheduled make-up by the faculty instructor.
- If a lesson falls on an RSC-recognized holiday and is missed due to the holiday, one make-up lesson will be offered.
Cancellation & Withdrawal Policies:
- Students who wish to withdraw from the fall semester must give the office a written notice before the fifth week of the semester.
- Students not continuing into the spring semester, must give the office a written notice before the last week of the fall semester.
- Any withdrawal notice given to the office before a deadline may be eligible for a partial refund.
- Any withdrawal notice given to the office after a deadline will not be eligible for a refund and families will still be responsible for payment.
- Enrollments starting mid-semester will have two weeks to try the enrollment and be eligible for withdrawal with payment of all attended lessons.
- Enrollments cancelled after two weeks of attendance are not eligible for a refund and families will still be responsible for payment.
- Extenuating circumstances may be considered for refund upon withdrawal.
Holidays & Closings:
- RSC is closed on most national holidays and any other dates published on our calendar or website. Please see the school calendar for more information.
- If the Rivers School closes due to inclement weather, RSC is required to close as well.

Make-Up Weeks:
Fall Semester Make-Up Week: January 19th, 2026 – January 25th, 2026
Spring Semester Make-Up Weeks: June 1st, 2026 – June 14th, 2026
