2026 Rivers & RSC Jazz Festival
Saturday, November 14, 2026
12:00–8:00 p.m.
Featured concert: 6:00 p.m.
The Rivers School, Campus Center
The annual Rivers & RSC Jazz Festival is a long-running tradition that includes performances from all jazz ensembles at The Rivers School and RSC, as well as a featured composer and performer(s).
The 2026 festival will premiere a commissioned work by composer Nestor Torres, a Latin Grammy Award-winning flautist, mentor, and author. Born in Puerto Rico, Torres’ extensive collaborations with artists such as Herbie Hancock, Wayne Shorter, Tito Puente, Gloria Estefan, Kenny Loggins, and Dave Matthews reflect a musical language that moves seamlessly from Cuban charanga and Latin jazz to classical, pop, and beyond.
Torres will be joined by Angel Subero & Latin Logic Salsa Band. Venezuelan trombonist Angel Subero has appeared with artists such as Bob Brookmeyer, Aretha Franklin, Slide Hampton, Jim McNeely, Claudio Roditi, Danilo Perez, Chris Botti, and many more.
This event is free and open to the public, but registration is recommended.
