Cellist Melody Giron has performed throughout the United States, Europe and Asia as a
soloist, chamber musician, and orchestral musician. Melody’s musical versatility has engaged
her in a variety of work including new music premieres, Broadway theater, orchestral work,
chamber music, solo performances as well as performance art collaborations. Melody’s recent
orchestral and chamber music engagements include performances with Palaver Strings, A Far
Cry, Fermanta Chamber Soloists, Chamber Orchestra of New York among other ensembles.
New music engagements include the world premiere of Julia Wolfe’s Spinning, Ted Hearne’s
world premiere of “Place” at BAM, as well as David Chesky’s cello concerto in NYC with the
Metro Chamber Orchestra. Melody is also regularly engaged in recording work for movie
scores, TV commercials, and popular music artists. She starred in a TV commercial for GMC as
well as Classe audio and can be seen on Amazon Prime’s Mozart In The Jungle. Additionally,
she can be heard on feature films Gemini Man and Boy Erased. Melody has also toured and
performed with pop music artists including Stevie Wonder, Sara Bareilles, Eminem, Doja Cat,
Shawn Mendes, Kelly Clarkson, and Ed Sheeran to name a few. She can be seen performing
with pop music artists on the Today Show, Good Morning America, and The Tonight Show
Starring Jimmy Fallon. A passionate and dedicated teacher, Melody is a teaching artist for
Project STEP, Suzuki School of Newton, The Rivers Conservatory, as well as maintaining a
private studio. Melody received her bachelor’s degree from The New England Conservatory of
Music and earned her master’s degree from The Peabody Institute of Johns Hopkins University.
